Unique courses

LSUS is one of the few colleges that offers a three credit-hour course in applied behavior analysis (ABA). We also offer courses such as writing in psychology and the psychology of adjustment.

Student life

The Psychology Club frequently hosts guest speakers and networking opportunities to help you connect with area professionals and learn more about the broad field of psychology. Many LSUS psychology majors are also eligible to join the Psi Chi Honor Society in Psychology. Both organizations provide ample opportunities to build your network as well as your résumé.

LSUS psychology majors have the opportunity to take applied courses in the campus ��ݮ��Ƶ Counseling and Psychology Clinic and complete coursework in the popular after-school and summer program, School of R.O.C.K. (Reading and Organization for Cool Kids). School of R.O.C.K. participants help young children from the community who are struggling with reading, math, and motivation.

Psychology majors can become board-certified assistant behavior analysts by completing 5 core ABA courses. Students are also eligible to become Registered Behavior Technicians.
